Lost world

As darkness eclipsed me,

I saw myself entering

into the world of trepidation.

Loneliness became my only friend.

Depression and anxiety also

accompanied me blindly.

This World is a huge playground

where we are the players

and Life is a game.

I found myself losing

in the virtual world

as weakness dominated me slowly.

Frustration overpowered me

but strength found me

and I rejoiced once more

for getting alive.

Oh! but fear shattered me again

as I lost my loved ones.

Destiny pointed out the brutal truth

that Life is not an easy game.

I think of the darkness as the time when the body is restored after the labours of the day. I imagine that fear always comes from other events that will surface in darkness, gnawing at the brain and saying ‘You can’t sleep’. Another very enjoyable poem πŸ™‚

Yes, life is a game, a playground of the positive and negative power – and we are just the toys of it… in our ups and downs.

I like your poems, dear Anisha – they are profound and expressed very well :)+
Thank you, my friend πŸ™‚
Have a great day
